We deserve this. After a four year gap since The Dark Knight and a flurry of hype, including the recently released teaser poster, we've been rather impatient for footage.
Finally, the non-bootlegged trailer is here and it's well worth the wait. Just try and watch this without shaking a bit in your seat.
The film hits cinemas July 20th 2012. That's a year away. Yes, it hurts us too.
Following Heath Ledger‘s death and the massive spectacle that was the second film in Christopher Nolan‘s Batman series, The Dark Knight, there were questions of its sequel coming into play, if at all. After two years of whispering, at last we have a full confirmation – and a little more.
As of yesterday, Nolan revealed that the upcoming film would be titled The Dark Knight Rises, a name that was not so dark as the previous installment in the series. Bat-fans worldwide were pushing for the Riddler to make an appearance – if not become the primary antagonist of the upcoming film. However, Nolan blatantly stated that the Riddler would not be a part of it.
There are now rumors that young actresses are being interviewed – but roles are undetermined. We don’t know if they’re villains or supporting protagonists.
